Snowfall alert for 5 districts in Uttarakhand

The Meteorological Department has once again issued the weather forecast. On December 1, there is a possibility of snowfall and rain in the state. There may be heavy snowfall and rain in 5 districts of the state on the coming December 1. It is expected that there may be light snowfall and rain at some places in the mountainous areas. On the other hand, light to moderate rain and snow may occur in most areas of the three districts on December 2 and light to moderate rains may occur in other districts as well.

Snowfall and rain may occur in most areas on December 1 at high altitude places of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. On December 2, light to moderate rain and snow may occur in most areas of Pithoragarh, Chamoli and Bageshwar districts.

Light to moderate rain is likely at some places in other districts and snowfall at higher altitude areas. It will also affect the plains districts and there will also be a drop in temperature. According to the Director of Meteorological Department Bikram Singh, the weather will remain dry after December 4. According to the Director of Meteorological Department, Bikram Singh, people will get relief from the dry cold after this rain. In November, the state has received 86 percent less rain than normal, due to which the outbreak of dry cold continues in the state. Almora, Champawat, Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar have not received any rain during this period, due to which dry cold is occurring. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department said that due to the rains in the coming days, people will get relief from the dry cold. According to Bikram Singh, the western disturbance is being considered responsible for the change in the weather and the western disturbance is affecting the weather of North India.
