CM Dhami flags off Dehradun marathon 2022

A marathon race was organized in Dehradun on Sunday morning. During this, the youth danced on the songs of Kailash Kher. Along with flagging off, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called upon the youth to contribute in building a new India.

DGP Ashok Kumar, who was present on the occasion, said that on the occasion of National Unity Day, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who united the country, PM’s commitment to realize the dream of one India, Shreshtha Bharat and CM’s Devbhoomi by 2025. Along with the campaign for de-addiction, a marathon has been organized by Hans Foundation on the theme Run for Unity and Run Against Drugs. In which 112 foreign athletes from 15 countries have registered. Along with this, people from 24 states and four union territories have registered for Dehradun Marathon 2022.

DGP Ashok Kumar said that in 21 km event a total of 3,255 (3,027 male and 228 female), a total of 5,100 (4,351 male and 749 female) participants in 10 km have been registered. Along with the marathon, a 3 km fun run on awareness theme is also being organized.

Numbers were distributed to the participants of the marathon on October 29 at Police Line Racecourse from 10:30 am to 6 pm. Prizes worth 10 lakh rupees and consolation prizes will be given to the winners in various categories in the marathon.
