Three family members killed in car accident on Bhikiyasain-Deghat Road
A car fell into a 150 meter deep gorge near Chaunia bend on Bhikiyasain-Deghat road in Syaldey development block.
In the accident, the doctor husband, staff nurse wife and their eight year old daughter died on the spot, while the 11 year old son was injured. The doctor posted at Deghat CHC from Roorkee was going to leave his wife and children.
According to the information, on Monday, Dr. Munendra Singh, who ran a private clinic in Roorkee, left home for Deghat along with his wife, daughter and son.
He was in contact with his family members till 3 pm, but after that the contact was suddenly cut off. When there was no contact till late evening, the deceased’s brother informed the police. The police made efforts to search for all four, but could not get any success. The reason for the unfortunate accident are being ascertained.
