Minor earthquake jolts Bageshwar
An earthquake struck Uttarakhand on Tuesday (January 13) morning. Tremors were felt in Bageshwar, causing panic among residents. Many people were hesitant to return to their homes due to fear of aftershocks. The earthquake’s effects were felt from Haridwar to Rishikesh. However, no loss of life or property has been reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in Bageshwar district, and its depth was recorded at approximately 10 kilometers. According to District Disaster Management Officer Shikha Suyal, the earthquake, which occurred at 7:25 AM, measured 3.5 on the Richter scale.
The tremors caused panic among people for a short time, and many rushed out of their homes. Fortunately, there have been no reports of any casualties or damage in the district.
