Uttarakhand weather update: Orange alert for these 3 districts on May 8

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for three districts of the state, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Almora on May 8. There is a possibility of hailstorm along with rain here. Whereas, yellow alert has been issued for eight districts including Doon, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag.
According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Almora. There is a possibility of hailstorm along with thunder here. Along with this, winds will also blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour.
At the same time, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital and Champawat. In many areas, there may be thunder along with strong winds.
The maximum temperature in Doon on Wednesday was recorded at 32.1 degrees and the minimum temperature was 17.9 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the maximum temperature of Doon is expected to be 34 and minimum 19 degrees.
