Gold soars above ₹ 74000
The price of gold and silver seem to be having a competition with temperature as to what will rise faster. As the mercury is rising, the price of silver along with gold is also increasing. Today the rising price of gold hit a record while silver reached an all-time high. For the past few days, there has been a continuous rise in the prices of gold and silver. Its price has increased by about 20 percent in one year. Despite it being expensive, not only the common man but also the central banks are buying gold extensively.
If we look at the price of gold, then 10 grams of gold was being sold for Rs 18500 in the year 2010, but today it is being sold for Rs 74000. Amidst rising inflation and global instability, people are increasing investment in gold. Gold and silver are considered safe investment options. On May 21, both gold and silver broke records. Gold and silver reached all time high today i.e. on 21st May. Talking about this year, on January 1, 2024, gold was being sold at Rs 63352 per 10 grams, which reached Rs 74214 per 10 grams on May 21, 2024. Whereas on January 1, 2024, silver was being sold at Rs 73395 per kg, which reached Rs 92873 per kg on May 21, 2024.
