Reliance Q4 FY 25 results: Net profit rises 2.4 percent

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) on Friday said its net profit rose 2.4 per cent to Rs 19,407 crore in the March quarter (Q4 FY 25) of FY 2024-25. The company said its retail and oil business improved in the January-March quarter. Earlier, analysts had estimated that the company’s oil business may see a slowdown due to global pressure, but the results have been different. RIL said in a notice to the stock market that its consolidated net profit stood at Rs 19,407 crore or Rs 14.34 per share in the January-March 2025 quarter. In the same period a year ago, this figure was Rs 18,951 crore or Rs 14 per share.
Increase in EBITDA
Reliance, the country’s largest company in terms of market capitalization, had earned a profit of Rs 18,540 crore in the October-December quarter of FY 2024-25. At the same time, the company’s operating revenue has increased to Rs 2.6 lakh crore. Whereas in January-March 2024 it was Rs 2.4 lakh crore. In the fourth quarter, the company’s EBITDA increased by 3.6 percent year-on-year to Rs 48,737 crore. It was Rs 47,050 crore in the same period a year ago. In the fourth quarter, the company’s EBITDA margin was 16.9 per share. This is 0.90 basis points less than 17.8 a year ago.
Jio’s profit increased by 25.7%
The net profit of Jio Platforms, the digital unit of Reliance Industries Limited, increased by 25.7 percent to Rs 7,022 crore in the January-March quarter of the last financial year. The company said that its profit increased mainly due to increase in average revenue per user. The company had recorded a net profit of Rs 5,587 crore in the same period a year ago. Jio Platforms’ average revenue per user grew 13.5 per cent to Rs 206.2 during the March quarter from Rs 181.7 in the March 2024 quarter.

Reliance Industries stock closed with a decline on Friday. The company’s stock closed at Rs 1300, down 0.12 per cent or Rs 1.60 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The 52-week high of this stock is Rs 1608.95. At the same time, the 52-week low is Rs 1115.55. The company’s market cap is Rs 17,59,276.14 crore.
