US to impose reciprocal tax on nations including India from April 2

While addressing the joint session of the US Congress, US President Donald Trump said that ‘whatever tariff the country imposes on us, we will also impose the same tariff on them’. He said that we will impose reciprocal tariff on many countries including India, China, Mexico and Canada.

Donald Trump said that ‘many countries impose more tariff on us than the tariff we impose. India imposes more than 100 percent tariff on us. China imposes twice the tariff and South Korea imposes four times the tariff, while we give them a lot of military assistance, but from April 2, whatever tariff our government imposes on any country, we will impose the same tariff on them.’

During this, Trump also made a funny comment. He said that ‘I wanted to start it from April 1, but the world should not think that I am celebrating April Fool’s Day. Therefore, I am going to impose reciprocal tariff from April 2.’
