DU UG admission 2024: First allotment list released

The first list of seat allotment for Delhi University UG admission 2024 was released on Friday, August 16. Students who have registered for admission under the first phase can check the seat allotment list by visiting the official website of Delhi University (DU) du.ac.in and admission.uod.ac.in. The registration process for the first phase lasted till August 7.

The total number of undergraduate seats in DU colleges is around 71,600. However, the allocation is 36 per cent more than the total seats of the colleges, as the university has decided to make additional allocations to fill the seats better so that the academic session can start from August 29. The university has allotted seats on the basis of Unique Common Rank. Candidates have time till August 18 (Sunday) to accept the seats allotted to them.

How many seats have been allotted?

According to the university, a total of 97,387 seats have been allotted in the first allocation round. This does not include allocation for performance based programmes and supernumerary quota of CW, ECA, and sports. The university has asked the students to deposit their fees by August 21. The university is conducting admissions for 71,600 seats (excluding additional seats) in 69 colleges and departments.

How many candidates had applied?

According to the records, a total of 2,45,287 candidates had applied for the first phase of Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS (UG)), out of which 1,85,543 applicants had completed the second phase of Common Seat Allocation System by giving their preferences for program + college combination. The total number of preferences received by the university was 1,72,18,187.

DU UG Admission 2024: How to check the first merit list?

First of all, go to the official website of DU admission website admission.uod.ac.in. Click on the DU UG CSAS 2024 First Seat Allotment Result link given on the home page.

Then check the list in the PDF that will appear on the screen and download it.

This year the university has added another feature on the dashboard of all the candidates, through which each candidate will be able to see the details of the cutoff and rank, which determines the allotment of seats according to the category and quota of the candidate.
