Chadrham Yatra 2024: Know when doors of Badrinath-Kedarnath will close for winters

The date of closing of Badrinath’s doors has been announced. The doors of Badrinath Dham will be closed for winter on Sunday, 17th November at 9:07 pm.

On the occasion of Vijayadashami, the Dharmadhikari of Badrinath temple Radhakrishna Thapliyal announced the closing of the doors of Badrinath temple during this year’s Yatra period after studying the Panchang in the presence of Rawal Amarnath Namboodri of Badrinath. Whereas, the doors of Gangotri Dham will be closed on 2nd November while the doors of Yamunotri Dham will be closed on 3rd November.

On the holy occasion of Vijayadashami, the closure of the doors of the second Kedar of Panch Kedars, Lord Madhmaheshwar and the third Kedar Lord Tungnath was also announced. The doors of the second Kedar Madhmaheshwar will be closed for winter on 20th November and the doors of Tungnath will be closed on 4th November, 2024.

Like every year, this time also, as per tradition, the doors of the world famous Kedarnath Dham will be closed on Bhai dooj and the moving idol festival palanquin of Kedarnath will reach the winter seat of Omkareshwar temple on 5 November.

On the occasion of Vijayadashami festival, the date of closing of the doors of Madhmaheshwar temple was decided at 9:30 am in the presence of Acharya, Vedpathi and Badri-Kedar temple committee employees at Omkareshwar temple Ukhimath as per the Panchang calculation.

The doors of the second Kedar Lord Madmaheshwar will be closed for the winter season on 20 November at 8:30 am. On the other hand, the date of closing of the doors of the third Kedar Lord Tungnath was decided at Markandeya temple located at Makummath. The doors of Lord Tungnath will be closed for the winter season on 4 November at 11:30 am.

On the other hand, a three-day Madhyamaheshwar fair will be organized in Ukhimath when the palanquin of Lord Madhyamaheshwar reaches Omkareshwar temple. The fair will be organised from 22nd to 24th November.
