Doors of Badrinath opened with Vedic rituals
The doors of Badrinath Dham were opened amidst Vedic chanting and slogans. This time more than 20 thousand devotees were present for the opening ceremony. Before this, worship of Lord Ganesh was done outside the temple during Brahmamuhurta. After this the priests performed door puja. The door of the temple were then opened.
As soon as the doors opened, the first sight was of Akhand Jyoti. It has been burning for 6 months. After this, the blanket made of ghee placed on Lord Badrinath was removed. Which is offered to God at the time of closing of doors 6 months ago. This blanket will be distributed as Prasad. The doors of the temple were closed on November 14 last year.
Dr. Brajesh Sati, General Secretary of Chardham Teerth Purohit Panchayat, said that the Lord will be seen without adornment from 6 to 8 in the morning. Which is called Nirvana Darshan. After this, the first Jalabhishek will take place at around 8 o’clock and the first puja will be done in the name of the Prime Minister.
Earlier, the doors of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri were opened on May 10 marking the beginning of Chardham Yatra 2024.
