Snowfall in the upper regions of Badrinath
The weather remained cloudy with intermittent showers in Uttarakhand even today. Light rain is continuing across the state since morning. At the same time, snowfall also occurred on the high peaks of Badrinath late in the evening. It has been raining continuously since yesterday evening in the areas around Yamunotri Dham including Kharshaligaon, Janakichatti, Narayan Puri, Phoolchatti, Janakichatti.
Intermittent rain has been continuing since night in the Barkot tehsil area. There was heavy rain in Mussoorie on Wednesday and then dense fog covered it. Due to this the temperature dropped. Tourists roaming around Mall Road and nearby areas were troubled due to the rain.
Yellow alert for rain and hailstorm
The weather department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Chamoli. Along with this, the possibility of hailstorm has also been expressed.
