Traffic disrupted due to debris on highway in Champawat
It is raining at various places in Kumaon, Uttarakhand. Traffic has been disrupted again due to debris at Sawala village near NH of Champawat. About 300 passengers are stuck in heavy rain due to debris. As a precaution, the administration has stopped the vehicles going towards Champawat at Kakrali Gate of Tanakpur. The administration team led by Tanakpur SDM Akash Joshi reached the spot with food packets and water bottles and other essential items.
Debris near Sawanla on NH has become a problem for the passengers. Hundreds of vehicles are stranded due to debris on NH in Sawanla area due to rain. SDM Akash Joshi said that water, biscuits etc. have been distributed to about 300 people in Sawanla. Patwari, Supply Inspector, PRD jawan are going to each vehicle and giving food items to the passengers.
