AIIMS Rishikesh signs MoU to provide cashless healthcare for retired army personnel

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed to provide all kinds of indoor, outdoor superspeciality health facilities available at AIIMS Rishikesh to retired employees of the Indian Army under cashless ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme).

With this agreement, more than 4.97 lakh ex-servicemen in Uttarakhand will be able to avail all kinds of medical facilities being given to patients in AIIMS.

In a program organized at AIIMS on Saturday, an MoU was signed between the local wing of the Army and the AIIMS administration on behalf of the Ministry of Defense to provide the benefit of health facilities available at the institute to retired personnel of the Indian Army.

On behalf of AIIMS Rishikesh, the Executive Director of the Institute, Prof. Meenu Singh and on behalf of the Army, General Officer Commanding of Uttarakhand Sub Area Major General R Premraj signed the agreement. Prof. Meenu Singh said that under the agreement, all kinds of medical facilities given to ex-servicemen in the hospital according to their rank will be cashless.

Under the agreement, AIIMS Rishikesh has become the first government super specialty hospital in the state of Uttarakhand to be included in the panel of ECHS.
