Car meets with accident near Maggi point on Mussoorie road; 2 dead

A tragic accident took place on Mussoorie Road on Friday morning. A car lost control and fell into a deep gorge near Maggi Point. Two people died in the accident, while four people are injured. On receiving the information, the police and SDRF team reached the spot and rescued the survivors from the deep gorge and sent them for post-mortem.

According to the information received, while returning from Mussoorie to Dehradun, a Tata Tiago car of UP number plate lost control and fell into a deep gorge near Shivalik Maggi Point between Kuthalgate and Kolukhet. On receiving the information, the police and SDRF team immediately reached the spot. It is being told that there were a total of 6 people in the car, out of which 3 people got out of the vehicle themselves and reached the road safely, who suffered minor injuries, the remaining three people remained trapped in the accident vehicle. The SDRF team rescued the people trapped in the vehicle. Out of the three people trapped in the vehicle, two died on the spot.

The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. All the people are said to be residents of Noida (Uttar Pradesh). The police informed the relatives of the deceased about the incident, after which they also reached there.
