CIPET inaugurated in Doiwala, youth will get 100 per cent placement
· Centre hands over 833 acres of land of IDPL to Uttarakhand

Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET) in Doiwala and Skill Development and Technical Support Center (CSTS) centre. Along with it, foundation stone of new CIPET centre was also laid. The institution to be built on 10 acres of land at Doiwala at a cost of Rs 40 crores will be ultra modern institute in the country. This will increase the prospect of capital investment in Uttarakhand and new employment opportunities will be generated.
A plastic recycling unit will be set up in Doiwala. Out of 899 acres of land of IDPL, 833.25 acres of land has been returned by the centre to the state government. A CIPET will also be established in Dwarahat. Similarly, Plastic Medical Devices Park will be set up in Sitarganj.
Union Minister Ananth Kumar said that the significance of CIPET is similar to IIT. The youth here will get 100 per cent campus placement. There is currently a demand of 8 lakh plastic engineers in the country. Similarly, there is a huge demand of plastic engineers in the whole world. In the CIPET started in Doiwala, 1500, 2500 and 3000 youth will get training in the first, second and third year respectively. Introducing B Tech in plastic engineering here is also being considered. Launched in Dehradun, it is the 32nd CIPET center of the country. On the request of the Chief Minister, the Union Minister has also announced the approval of CIPET in Dwarahat. He said that a plastic recycling unit will be set up in CIPET, Doiwala. Plastics Medical Devices Park will be set up in Sitarganj. Through these, more than 5000 youth will get direct employment.
Union Minister said that on the orders of the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, out of 899 acres of land of IDPL, 833.25 acres of land has been returned by the centre to the state government. IDPL will continue to function on the remaining land. Union Minister also handed a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard. After getting the information that against the 100 Jan Aushadhi Centres approved by the centre, as many as 106 centres have been opened in the state, the Union Minister announced approval of 100 another Jan Aushadhi Centres.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that today is a historic day for Uttarakhand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Ananth Kumar has given so much to the Uttarakhand. Expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Union Minister for this, the Chief Minister said that today is a day of dream coming true. He said that 833.25 acres land of IDPL has been given to Uttarakhand free of cost. From the land received, 200 acres of land will be used for the extension of AIIMS. While on the rest of the land, a beautiful Convection Centre of International level and in accordance with the grace of Devbhoomi will be set up.
Our youth will get employment from CIPET in Doiwala. There will be 100 per cent placement, which is very big thing. 85 per cent of the seats here will be for the youth of Uttarakhand. The establishment of these centers will develop local economics and directly and indirectly, thousands of people will be benefited. Under the Vision 2020, the state is working on skill development of one lakh youth. We have set a target of 200 startups in the state.
