Dehradun flower show: Governor inaugurates Vasantotsav 2025
A fair of colorful flowers has started in the Raj Bhavan from today, Friday. The Governor, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd) inaugurated the three-day Vasantotsav 2025 (flower exhibition) in Dehradun. The general public will get free entry to the Raj Bhavan from 1 pm to 6 pm on the first day (March 7) and from 9 am to 6 pm on March 8 and 9.
This event includes a total of 55 sub-categories of 15 main competitions, in which the participants securing first, second and third positions will be awarded. A total of 165 prizes will be given to the winners selected by the jury on March 9.
Routes will remain changed in the cantonment area during Vasantotsav in Raj Bhavan
The police has implemented a traffic plan for the flower exhibition to be organized under Vasantotsav at the Raj Bhavan located on New Cantt Road. Many routes will remain changed in the Cantt area. The vehicles of the officers coming to the flower exhibition will be parked in the empty ground near the Shaurya Sthal. Apart from this, the private vehicles of the people coming to the exhibition will be parked in the football ground of 8th Garhwal Rifles from the Annexe trijunction. At the same time, vehicles of people coming from Bindal and Garhi Cantt will be parked at Mahendra Park. Vehicles going from Annexe trijunction towards Bijapur Guest House will be sent from Annexe trijunction towards CSD Tiraha. During this time, there will be one-way from Annexe trijunction towards Bijapur Guest House. If there is traffic pressure outside the Raj Bhavan, vehicles will be sent as per the plan. During this time, shuttle service will also be available from Mahendra Ground and RT Ground.
