High speed car runs over school students in Selaqui area of Dehradun
A major road accident took place in Vikasnagar-Selaqui area of Dehradun district on Wednesday afternoon. Here, a speeding car coming from Dehradun Paonta National Highway towards Nigam Road hit school students. About 9 students were seriously injured in the accident. They are being treated in a nearby hospital. The police have taken the car driver into custody.

A speeding car coming from Dehradun Paonta National Highway towards Nigam Road trampled school students. About 9 students were seriously injured in the incident, out of which the condition of three is said to be critical. According to eyewitnesses, this incident happened when the Government Adarsh Inter College located on Nigam Road was closing. The students were coming out of the school, when suddenly a speeding car hit them.
The speed of the car was so high that it hit 9 students and also hit three other vehicles standing on the road. There was chaos on the spot after the accident. The police team that reached the spot sent the injured students to the hospital. Police station in-charge Selaqui PD Bhatt said that 9 students were injured after being hit by a speeding car, the injured are being treated. The car driver has been taken into custody. The process of registering a case against the accused driver is underway.
