Landslide occurs nears Tehri bypass in Mussoorie, power and water lines damaged

Despite clear weather in Mussoorie, a landslide occurred near the Tehri bypass in Mussoorie on Friday. This damaged power lines. Nearly half a kilometer of power lines were damaged, disrupting power supply to 1,000 consumers. Water lines were also damaged.
Due to the landslide, more than 1,000 consumers in the Suwakholi and Buranshkhanda areas were forced to live in darkness. Energy Corporation teams are working to repair the lines. The destruction of both power and water lines has created a water crisis in the area.
The Energy Corporation said that approximately half a kilometer of 11 KV power lines was damaged, disrupting power supply to approximately 1,000 consumers in the Buranshkhanda and Suwakholi areas. Work is underway to repair the lines and efforts are being made to restore supply soon.
