Long traffic queues seen in Mussoorie-Rishikesh as tourist influx increases due to long weekend

As soon as the tourist season started in Uttarakhand, the crowd of tourists started pouring in. Tourist spots like Rishikesh, Mussoorie, Haridwar, Nainital etc. are bustling with tourists. On the other hand, hotels in tourist places are also fully packed. People have to face the problem of traffic jam due to the crowd of tourists in tourist places.
However, the police claim that traffic is being controlled by deploying additional force. Long queues of vehicles was seen in Rishikesh, due to which not only pilgrims and tourists had to face trouble, but people who came to the city from villages for daily work on Saturday.
Some people were forced to walk on the road. Traffic slowed down after 8 pm at Indramani Badoni and Gauradevi Chowk.
A large number of tourists from Delhi, Haryana and UP started heading towards Rishikesh from dawn, so the Haridwar bypass road was packed by 11 am. There was a jam from Khand village to Kharasrot. By afternoon, the queue of vehicles reached the Nepali Farm flyover in Raiwala.
Vehicles kept crawling on the Haridwar-Rishikesh National Highway throughout the day. Tourists stuck in the jam were heard cursing the system.
