Mortal remains of solider martyred in Rajouri encounter reach Dehradun

The mortal remains of brave soldier Ruchin Singh Rawat, a resident of Kunigad Malli village of Gairsain block of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, who was martyred yesterday in the encounter between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, has reached Jolly Grant Airport. Here the martyr was given a guard of honor in the presence of police administration and army personnel.

L/Nk Ruchin Singh Rawat, a resident of Kunigad Malli village of Gairsain block of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand, was martyred in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir.

As soon as the news of his martyrdom was received, there was a wave of mourning in the entire Gairsain area including Kunigad.

Ruchin Rawat (30) had joined the army in 2009-10. Ruchin’s uncle Surendra Singh Rawat told that the martyr’s wife and son live in Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir. It was his wife who informed her parents about her husband’s martyrdom in Gairsain.
