Plan proposed to widen Airport-Thano-Raipur Road

Airport-Thano-Raipur motorway could become four lane if it gets green signal from the government. For this, temporary section PWD Rishikesh has started the exercise. Under the first phase, a proposal has been sent to the government for permission for survey, land transfer and DPR.
In view of the pressure of vehicles on the Dehradun highway, the Airport-Thano-Raipur motorway will be prepared as an alternative. Preparations have been started for this. This motorway of about 23 km will be made four lane. Till now this route is double lane.
With the four lane of this motorway, more than two dozen villages from the airport to Raipur will also benefit. Along with the availability of better traffic facilities in the area, development work will also accelerate here.
The Airport-Thano-Raipur motorway is very important. This motorway connects the airport and the capital. There is also an international level Maharana Pratap Stadium on this motorway. Along with this, the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan is also proposed in Raipur area. Due to this, its importance increases a lot. People coming to Dehradun from hilly areas have also built their houses here in large numbers. The population here is constantly increasing.
Officials say that the motorway from the number six culvert to the Maharana Pratap Stadium will also be made four-lane. The length of this road is about three km. For this also, a proposal has been sent to the government under the first phase.
A proposal has been sent to the government this month under the first phase process to make the Airport-Thano-Raipur motorway a four-lane. As soon as the proposal is approved, the processes of survey, land transfer and DPR will be completed.
