During this, when an attempt was made to stop a bike rider, he opened fire on the police, after which the police retaliated. In the encounter, the miscreant got injured after being shot in the leg. The police recovered a 315 bore country-made pistol from the possession of the miscreant. At the same time, the injured miscreant has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. On receiving the information, SSP and SP City reached the spot and inspected the spot.
SSP Ajay Singh has told that the injured miscreant was brought to the primary hospital Premnagar by the police for immediate treatment, where the doctors referred him to Doon Hospital for advanced treatment. After reaching the hospital, information was taken about the injured miscreant. In the initial interrogation by the police, it was found that the miscreant is a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who is a member of an interstate vehicle theft gang and has previously been jailed in Lucknow for vehicle theft. He said that other information is being taken. Also, during interrogation, it was found that other members of the gang were also going to commit a major crime.
