Orignially, the film crew had planned shoot for Batti Gul Meter Chalu in 10 dirrent locations in Dehradun. But the unit has shot several scenes of shooting supposed to be in Dehradun in New Tehri itself. On Tuesday, the unit will reach Dehradun for shooting. The team will also be accompanied by actor Shahid Kapoor and actress Shraddha Kapoor. The shooting of the film will begin on March 15 in Dehradun.
The shooting of the film ‘Batti Gul, Meter Chalu’, centered on power theft, is going on in New Tehri for nearly a month. In it, actor Shahid Kapoor, in the role of Garhwali Youth, is a lawyer by profession. While Shraddha Kapoor is playing the character of Lalita Nautiyal, the girl from Dehradun.
The film’s creative producer Sumit Adlakha said that the unit will reach Dehradun on Tuesday after finishing shooting at New Tehri on Monday. Where sets will be prepared for shooting in two days. He said that now only five days of shooting will be done in Dehradun, as most of the scenes have been shot in Tehri. Actress Yami Gautam will also be reaching Dehradun.
Some scenes will also be shot at a school in Dehradun. Apart from this, the film will be shot in Mussoorie and Rishikesh too. He said that the film unit is getting full support from Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. For this reason most of the directors are coming to shoot in Uttarakhand.
