Uttarakhand rains: Ganga’s water level reaches high flood level in Rishikesh since 2013
Due to continuous heavy rains in the mountainous areas, the water level of Ganga has increased a lot. Ganga is flowing one meter above the danger mark in Rishikesh. The danger mark in Rishikesh is at 340.50 metres, while the water level of Ganga has crossed 341.30 metres.
Ganga’s water level reaches high flood level
This level is the highest flood level ever recorded in Rishikesh. Ganga had touched this level during the disaster of 2013. Still the water level of Ganga continues to rise. According to media reports, Rishikesh area has received around 400 millimeters of rains in a span of 24 hours.
