Virasat Art and Heritage Festival 2022 to be held in Dehradun from 09 to 23 October

‘Virasat Art and Heritage Festival 2022’ is going to be organized by REACH, an organization of well-known cultural programs of Uttarakhand. This event was organized from 09 October to 23 October 2022 at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Stadium (Kaulagarh Road) in Dehradun. A press conference was organized by REACH organization today at Hotel Madhuban, Rajpur Road, Dehradun, in which senior members of the organization gave complete information about the event to the people. The members of the organization said that this time in 2022, the residents of Dehradun will get to see a lot along with colorful cultural programs. The programs will mainly include Craft Village, Food Festival, Classical Music and Dance, Folk Music and Dance, as well as Craft Work Shop, Vintage and Classic Car and Bike Rally and Quiz etc.

This festival is popularly known as ‘Afro-Asia’s biggest heritage and folk life festival’. The program will be inaugurated at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Stadium on October 09 at 6.00 pm. After which the visitors will get a chance to see the traditional dance and music performances of Uttarakhand. This will be the 26th edition of Virasat Festival, which will see scintillating performances by many of the finest artists. These artists include stalwarts from different walks of the cultural world like Wadali Brothers, Ashwini Bhide, Suresh Wadkar, Prahlad Singh Tipanya, Osman Mir, etc.

The 15-day long festival is a platform for the people to experience the art, culture and music from eminent masters of classical music and dance up close. Eminent artists have been invited to perform in this festival. The festival will feature a crafts village, cuisine stalls, an art fair, folk music, Bollywood-style performances, heritage walks, and more. This festival gives an opportunity to people across the country to get maximum information about India’s rich cultural heritage and its importance. Every aspect of the festival, such as art exhibitions, musicals, food and heritage walks reflects the traditional values ​​associated with Indian heritage.
