Shahrukh Khan has become the highest tax paying celeb in India for the financial year 2023-24. He paid tax of Rs 92 crore. Fortune India on Wednesday released the list of Indian celebs who paid the highest tax in the financial year 2023-24.

After King Khan, Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is in this list. He deposited Rs 80 crore tax. Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan are included in the top-5 of this list. Virat Kohli is at the top among Indian players.

Aamir Khan is also behind Kareena Kapoor, Kapil Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi in terms of paying tax. Pankaj paid 11 crores and Aamir paid 10 crores tax. Akshay Kumar is out of the top-20.

Shahrukh Khan’s net worth increased by Rs 1300 crores in 2023. According to Forbes, Shahrukh’s net worth in the year 2022 was Rs 5116 crore, which increased by 8% after the success of Jawaan and Pathaan. Shahrukh’s film Pathaan had collected Rs 1050 crore.

According to the Times of India report, Shahrukh had signed a 60% profit sharing contract with Yash Raj Production for the film Pathaan. Apart from this, he charged a fee of 100 crores for the film.

The film Jawaan was produced by Shahrukh Khan’s production house Red Chili Entertainment. In such a situation, he also got the direct profit of OTT and channel rights. Now Shahrukh’s net worth has gone up to Rs 6411 crore, with which Shahrukh Khan has become the fourth richest actor in the world. In terms of earnings, Shahrukh Khan has also surpassed Jackie Chan (Rs 3359 crore approx) and Tom Cruise (Rs 5039 crore approx).

Actress Kareena Kapoor is the highest tax paying female celebrity in India. The actress paid Rs 20 crore tax in the financial year 2024.
