WWE star John Cena announces retirement

WWE legend John Cena has announced his retirement from WWE ring competition. 16-time champion John Cena revealed that 2025 will be his last year in professional wrestling. He will appear in the first Raw episode of the year. Which will also mark WWE’s debut on Netflix. John Cena will play his last WWE WrestleMania match at the Royal Rumble in February, Elimination Chamber in March and Las Vegas.

John Cena gave the most heartbreaking promo of his career, saying, “Tonight I am officially announcing my retirement from WWE”. WWE Creative Head Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque tweeted a short video clip in which he and Cena are seen hugging backstage and wrote in the caption, ‘The Greatest of All Time.’

John Cena announced his retirement, surprising everyone during the live match of WWE Money in the Bank held in Toronto, Canada. John Cena said that ‘tonight I officially announce my retirement from WWE.’ WWE has shared a video of this on its social media account. After this announcement, his fans looked sad. They commented that they will miss John Cena.

John Cena said, ‘this farewell will not happen tonight. Many things happen for the first and last time in history. The 2025 Royal Rumble will be my last. The 2025 Elimination Chamber will be my last. I have come here to announce that Las Vegas WrestleMania 2025 will be my last WrestleMania.’ John Cena, who is 47 years old, entered the world of wrestling in the year 2001. After getting a contract from WWE, he performed at the top level continuously. In the year 2018, John Cena entered the world of acting. He appeared in many big Hollywood films. Along with his film career, he continued to appear in WWE. He has won the title of World Champion 16 times.
