Nike’s holy water filled shoes sell out in minutes
This beautiful white colored shoe is of Nike and is named ‘Jesus Shoe’. The shoe was produced by Brooklyn-based creative label MSCHF. The specialty of this shoe is that it has been injected with the sacred waters of the Jordan River.
If you look closely at the picture of this shoe, you will see the water of the river floating in its sole.
If you think that its price has been kept high due to the river water only, then look at it again. The Bible’s verse Matthew 14:25 is also written in the shoe. In this passage, Jesus has been told to walk above the water. There is also a drop of blood in the side of the shoe, which is depicted as a symbol of Jesus’ blood.
Apart from all this, this shoe also has many religious features, such as a cross hung with thread in lace. The sole of this shoe is red in color. The Pope traditionally wears red shoes.
When the shoe is religious, its cover should be similar. A messenger has been made in the shoe case and a seal has also been attached which resembles the official papal seal of the Pope.
Fox News, quoting New York Post, wrote that according to Head of Commerce Daniel Greenberg, “Only a few dozen shoes were produced with this concept.” He also said that he has no plans to make more shoes at this concept.
However, the brand’s founder, Gabriel Vale, has pointed to a ‘second installment’ of shoes in the future.
