Protest over Agnipath intensifies, farmers take out rally in Haridwar
Farmers from all over the country, who reached Haridwar in protest against Agnipath, took out a foot march. In the presence of the National President of the Bharatiya Kisan Union Rakesh Tikait, it was announced that a demonstration would now be held at the district headquarters across the country on June 30 to solve the problems of the farmers, including the Agnipath scheme.
On Friday, on the second day of the three-day Kisan Mahakumbh (contemplation camp) of the Bharatiya Kisan Union it was decided to take out a foot march on Saturday under the leadership of the union’s national president Naresh Tikait. Under this, under the leadership of BKU’s national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait, farmers took out a march on Saturday.
State President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Road faction, Padma Singh said that the Agnipath scheme of the Central Government is a hoax for the youth. Farmer organizations will strongly oppose this. In protest against this, a large number of farmers participated in the foot march in Haridwar.
