Sri Dev Suman University to get two new campuses in Tehri and Haridwar

Two new campuses will be built by Sri Dev Suman University in Tehri and Haridwar. This will benefit thousands of students of the state. They will not have to move to other cities for higher education. An important meeting of the university’s executive council was held in Tehri. In which the proposal to open two new campuses has been approved. Vice-Chancellor Dr. PP Dhyani informed that in view of the National Education Policy-2020, many decisions have been taken in the interest of the students. The Executive Council has approved to abolish the annual system and replace it with the semester system. The government will be informed about this soon. It has been decided to organize the third convocation of the university in Rishikesh campus.

Apart from this, Pt. Lalit Mohan Memorial Lecture will be started in the university. Besides, the proposal to rename Pt. Lalit Mohan Sharma Post Graduate College as Pt. Lalit Mohan Sharma Campus has also been approved. Ten important proposals were placed in the meeting of the Executive Council. In which it was decided to award Sri Dev Suman Gold Medal to the students securing the highest marks at the graduation level and to give an amount of Rupees 11,000 as a reward. In Dehradun, the university administration will build a camp office cum guest house on 2 acres of land located at Bhauwala, so that students coming from the plains can get better facilities. Memorial lecture will be organized every year by the university. In Sridev Suman University, now studies will be done on the basis of semester system.
