3 AIIMS doctor among 5 dead in Yamuna Expressway accident near Mathura
Incidents of the accident-prone Yamuna Express-Way between Delhi and Agra, are refusing to come to a halt. On Sunday, two major accidents on Express-Way have put a question mark on its security. Five people, including three doctors of AIIMS, were killed in these two major accidents, while 27 people were injured in both accidents.
The first incident took place on the Yamuna Expressway near Mathura, in the Surir Kotwali area. A speeding Innova car crashed into a container near Mile Stone 88. In this accident, 3 doctors of AIIMS died on the spot, while 4 other doctors were reported to be critically injured. The injured doctors have been brought to AIIMS for treatment.
In the second accident on the Yamuna Expressway speed wrecked havoc. According to the information, in the Dankaur police station area, the roadways bus fell 30 feet below the expressway. Two people were killed in this accident, while 23 passengers were injured. There are also 4 children in the wounded. Both incidents have been known to be early Sunday.
Since the expressway has started, there have been about 4076 accidents till January 2017, in which 548 people have died. Year-on-year accidents have accelerated here. This accidents have increased by about 30 percent in 2016 due to this expressway compared to 2015.
This express way has taken a toll of 548 persons sofar. It is a matter of great concern. Something is wrong somewhere. The concerned agencies should come out with the solution. Three doctors of AIIMS died and 4 other injured is a very sad news.
