5 soldiers from Uttarakhand martyred in terrorist attack on army in J&K

Five soldiers from Uttarakhand have been martyred in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. As soon as the news of the five martyrs reached the village, there was grief in the houses. The family members are not able to believe that their brave kin are no longer in this world.

Among those martyred from Uttarakhand are Naib Subedar Anand Singh (Kanda, Rudraprayag), Havildar Kamal Singh (Lansdowne, Pauri), Rifleman Anuj Negi (Rikhnikhal, Pauri), Rifleman Adarsh ​​Negi (Devprayag, Tehri), Naik Vinod Singh (Jakhnidhar, Tehri).

On Monday, terrorists ambushed an army vehicle with a grenade in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Five army soldiers, including a JCO, were martyred in the attack while five were injured. This is the second attack by terrorists on the army within two days.

Earlier, terrorists had attacked an army post in Rajouri on Sunday, in which a soldier was injured. This is the third terrorist incident in the last 72 hours in which eight army personnel have been martyred. Kashmir Tigers, associated with the banned Pakistani organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, has claimed responsibility for the attack on the army.

Two army personnel were martyred in the Kulgam encounter on July 6 and 7. The security forces conducted an operation and killed six terrorists. During this time, an encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in the Chingam area in which one army personnel was martyred.

The army killed four terrorists during the operation. The army recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from them. The army suspects that a large number of terrorists may be hiding in the forests of the valley.

On the martyrdom of five soldiers in the terrorist attack, CM Dhami said that this is a moment of great pain for all the people of the state because we have lost a brother and a son. Our warriors, following the rich military tradition of Uttarakhand, sacrificed their all at the feet of Mother India.
