7 injured in Grenade attack in Kashmir

Despite tight security in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists threw a grenade near Hari Singh High Street. 7 people have been seriously injured in this attack. This grenade attack has taken place when security arrangements are very strict in the valley and intensive deployment of troops has been done everywhere.

The injured have been admitted to the local hospital. Where treatment continues.

Immediately after the incident, a large number of security forces have been deployed on the spot. A team of security forces is present along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police at the scene. Security forces are investigating about the grenade attack. Further details of the attack are awaited.

Despite the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, stone pelting incidents are still going on in the valley. More than 300 incidents of stone pelting have been reported in Jammu and Kashmir since August 5. However, the situation in the valley is constantly being claimed by the security forces.

Terrorists are active in the valley

Earlier, security forces had an encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Avantipora on Tuesday in which a militant was killed by security forces. The slain militant was identified to be of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Apart from this, there was a recent information about the activation of terrorist parties in the valley. For this reason, the security forces in the valley have been kept on high alert.

The terrorist was from Awantipur. He was associated with the terrorist organization on 4 July 2018. According to intelligence information, the terrorists Abu Muslim was carrying out terrorist activities near Awantipora police station and air base in Malanpora.

Earlier, army and police personnel killed Ufeed Farooq Lone in an encounter in Awantipur. Farooq was also a terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Farooq was wanted in many terror cases. He carried out many terrorist activities after the abolition of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. In the recent grenade attack and threatening the shopkeepers, the police was looking for him.
