The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for connecting PAN with Aadhaar card to June 30. The law making body of the tax department has issued an order to increase the deadline. So far, the last date was 31 March. It has been said in that the timeframe for adding PAN-Aadhhar is being increased for filing income tax returns. It is understood that the latest order of the CBDT has come in the wake of an order that came from the Supreme Court this month. The Supreme Court had ordered the extension of the deadline of March 31 to link the Aadhar with various other services.
