Chandigarh records worst AQI in the country

Chandigarh, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, is witnessing the worst air quality index in India recently. The air quality of this planned city is worse than that of Delhi. Chandigarh topped the list of worst air quality index on Wednesday. Delhi was next. The first fog of the season was also seen in Chandigarh and cold was felt for the first time.

Actually, the situation in Chandigarh has become very bad due to smog. A different scene was seen in Chandigarh on Tuesday morning and fog has been looming here since morning. The sun has completely disappeared and the cold has also increased. The most worrying thing is that the pollution level in the city has become very bad. The AQI of the city was 349 on Tuesday and it was recorded at 354 on Wednesday. However, this data is of 7 am.

On the other hand, the first fog of winter has engulfed the whole of Chandigarh. Visibility has also become very low. Visibility is 200 meters at Chandigarh airport. On the other hand, due to smog and pollution, the bright sunshine has been missing in Chandigarh for 6 consecutive days. People are going out for morning walks in Chandigarh wearing masks.

Water spray from anti-smog guns in the city

In Chandigarh, water sprays were also done on the city roads and trees on Tuesday to deal with pollution. During this, anti-smog guns were seen on the roads towards Sector 37 and water was sprayed. On the other hand, the biggest reason for pollution in Chandigarh is the lack of rain. Also, stubble is being burnt on a large scale in Punjab. Due to this also the smog has increased. The movement of vehicles has also increased which are being attributed as the reasons why the pollution level in the city has reached extremely dangerous levels.
