Flights suspended at Jollygrant airport in Dehradun as Ind-Pak tension intensifies

After the Air Strike on PoK, there has been a tension on the Indo-Pak border. After which the flights of Jammu and Amritsar running from Dehradun’s Jollygrant Airport have now been canceled. At the same time sources have reported that the Jollygrant airport has been closed.

However, the airport director has not been able to talk about this. Sources here have news that Dehradun Airport has been closed. It is being told that this runway can be used by the Air Force as a base. Especially due to the proximity to China border, it can be used for monitoring.

At the same time SSP Nivedita Kukarti says that only Indigo flights are closed on the airport. Jet Airways has some internal issues due to which flights are cancelled.

Police and intelligence agencies on alert

Alerts were also declared in Dehradun. Security of the JollyGrant Airport, institutions of all central defense and national importance has been increased. IG Garhwal Ajay Routela said that the police of all the districts have been instructed to remain alert. Police and intelligence agencies are also on alert.

Police patrol has been increased in residential areas around Jollygrant Airport, Indian Military Academy. Police surveillance has been increased on all defense and central institutions including Instruments Research and Development Establishment, Defense Electronic Application Laboratory and Ordnance Factory.

Intra-checking is being done by barricading on entry exit point. Simultaneously, security of all other central defense and national importance institutions, including the IMA, has been increased. The police is in touch with various agencies. Every information is being shared with intelligence agencies.
