From GST reform to employment scheme, PM Modi makes these announcements on 79th Independence Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made two big announcement to the countrymen on the occasion of Independence Day. His first announcement is going to benefit every citizen of the country. At the same time, the second one will help the youth and the companies that give them jobs. On this occasion, PM Modi said that the government will work for the security of the country in the coming 10 years. Weapons will be made in indigenous ways to protect the country from any attack. Along with this, he also promised to keep the interests of farmers paramount. Without taking names, he said that India will not come under the pressure of America under any circumstances and will not sacrifice the interests of its farmers and cattle rearers.

Big gift to the youth

On the occasion of 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the implementation of a scheme of Rs 1 lakh crore for the youth. PM Modi said that the Prime Minister’s Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana is being implemented from today itself. This scheme will provide new employment opportunities for about 3.5 crore youth. The budget of the Prime Minister’s Vikasit Rojgar Yojana is Rs 1 lakh crore. Under this scheme, those who get their first job in an EPFO registered organization will be given Rs 15,000 by the government. This scheme focuses on increasing jobs in small-medium enterprises and different sectors such as manufacturing, services and technology.

How to get the benefit

Youth will get the first installment six months after registering with EPFO. However, this scheme is only for people with a salary of less than one lakh. At the same time, the second installment will also be given after one year of employment and completion of training. At the same time, the government will give three thousand rupees every month to the companies giving jobs to these youth, but the employee will have to be kept on the job for at least six months. This money will be available for two years. Manufacturing companies can get this help for five years.

Everyone to benefit from GST reform

PM Modi said that we have decided to form a task force for the next generation GST reform. This task force should complete this work within the time limit. This task force has been formed to make the current rules, laws, policies, practices suitable for the 21st century, suitable for the global environment and to make India a developed nation in 2047. Prime Minister Modi said that in the last 8 years, a major reform of GST has been done. After eight years, the need of the hour is that we review it. We formed a high power committee and got it reviewed… held discussions with the states… we are bringing the next generation GST reform. It will be a gift for you by Diwali. Taxes on common human needs will be reduced to a great extent. Everyday things will become very cheap.

Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the importance of the next generation of reforms under Goods and Services Tax, the Finance Ministry proposed a two-slab GST rate structure along with special rates for select items. As per reports, the Central Government has sent its proposal on GST rate rationalisation and reforms to the Group of Ministers (GoM) constituted by the GST Council to examine this issue.
