Under this NOTAM issued, India has announced the closure of its airspace for all Pakistan-registered and military aircraft from 30 April to 23 May 2025. During this period, no Pakistani aircraft will be allowed to enter Indian airspace.

Earlier this evening, PM Modi met the Army Chief. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval were also present in this meeting. Pakistan has already closed its airspace for India. This decision has made it clear that India will give a strong response in case of any provocation. For the last few days, the ceasefire is being continuously violated by Pakistan on the LoC.

What will be the effect of the ban on airspace on Pakistan?

It is said that with India now officially restricting its airspace, Pakistani airlines will be forced to take the longer route via countries like China or Sri Lanka to reach South-East Asian countries like Malaysia, Indonesia etc.
