If you also try to book Tatkal tickets for the train and every time it shows “No Ticket Available”, then now the problem of booking Tatkal tickets is going to be reduced. Railways is going to make a big change in Tatkal ticket booking.

Soon e-Aadhaar verification will be necessary at the time of ticket booking. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given this information through social media platform X. He said that with this rule, needy and right passengers will be able to get confirmed tickets. This will curb fake IDs, agents’ fraud and booking of bots and it will be easier for common passengers to get confirmed tickets.

Railway Minister posted information

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said through a social media post on Wednesday that Indian Railways will soon start using e-Aadhaar authentication to book Tatkal tickets. Explaining its benefits in his post, he wrote that through this system, the real users of the railways will be helped to get confirmed tickets at the time of need. It is expected that this system can be started by the end of this month.

Only 10% users are Aadhaar verified!

Currently, the IRCTC website has more than 13 crore active users, but only around 10% of these users are Aadhaar verified. If reports are to be believed, this is why Indian Railways is going to make the rules strict, so that the Tatkal ticket booking process can be strengthened and only Aadhaar verified IRCTC accounts are allowed to do Online Tatkal Ticket Booking. After the introduction of this system, Aadhaar based OTP authentication will be necessary for Tatkal ticket booking.
