PM Modi flags off 3 new Vande Bharat trains; inaugurates new metro route in Bengaluru
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Karnataka. The Prime Minister flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains from KSR Railway Station on Sunday (August 10). Along with this, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of a new route of Bangalore Metro. The three Vande Bharat Expresses flagged off by the Prime Minister include trains from Bangalore to Belgaum, Amritsar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Nagpur (Ajni) to Pune. These high-speed trains will significantly enhance regional connectivity, reduce travel time and provide a world-class travel experience to passengers.
PM Modi also inaugurated the much-awaited Yellow Line of Bangalore Metro from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra under Bangalore Metro Phase-2 project The length of this line is more than 19 km and it has 16 stations. With the opening of this Yellow Line, the operational network of the metro in Bangalore will increase to more than 96 km, which will be a great convenience for the large population of this region.
