Registration opens for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will run from June to August 2025. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this year five batches, each consisting of 50 pilgrims, will travel from Uttarakhand crossing the Lipulekh Pass. Similarly, 10 batches, each consisting of 50 pilgrims, will travel from Sikkim crossing the Nathu La Pass. Registrations are now open for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 on the website https://kmy.gov.in. The devotees will be selected from the applicants through a fair, computer-generated, random and gender-balanced selection process.

The journey will start from June 30

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will start from June 30. The journey will be conducted with the joint efforts of the state government and the Ministry of External Affairs. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra could not be conducted since the year 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. However, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra starting after five years will also be hit by inflation.

KMVN will charge Rs 56,000 instead of Rs 35,000

This time the devotees will have to pay Rs 56,000 instead of Rs 35,000 to Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN). KMVN will make arrangements for the travel, stay and food of the passengers with this amount. Apart from this, separate expenses will have to be incurred for medical examination, China visa, porter, Tibet Autonomous Region and China border. Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam manages the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lipulekh Pass. This time, along with registration, the devotees will have to pay Rs 56,000 to KMVN for food, travel and stay.

Each group will travel for 22 days

Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam will conduct the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Uttarakhand. This journey will start from Delhi and will be conducted through the Lipulekh Pass route of Pithoragarh. The first group will enter China via Lipulekh Pass on July 10. The last group of travellers will depart from China for India on 22 August. Each group will depart from Delhi and enter China after staying one night each in Tanakpur, Dharchula, two nights each in Gunji and Nabhidang (Taklakot). On the return journey after Kailash Darshan,they will depart from China and reach Delhi after staying one night each in Bundi, Chaukori, Almora. Each group will undertake a journey of 22 days.
