Rekha Gupta named new CM of Delhi

The suspense over the name of the Chief Minister in Delhi is over. Rekha Gupta has been elected as the Chief Minister of Delhi.
Announcing the name of Rekha Gupta in front of journalists, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, who was present as an observer in the meeting, said, “Pravesh Verma, Satish Upadhyay and Vijendra Gupta proposed Rekha’s name. Nine people approved her name. Now we are all going to the Raj Bhavan.”
Rekha Gupta told reporters, “I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President JP Nadda, Virendra Sachdeva, Ravi Shankar Prasad and all the workers. I thank all my MLAs.”
Rekha Gupta will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Before her, Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dixit and Atishi have held this post.
