Several states on high alert after car blast in Delhi; PM Modi speaks to Home Minister Shah

Eight people were reported dead and more than 20 injured in a car blast near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi on November 10. Following the bomb blast, all security agencies have been put on alert. Security has been increased at key institutions across the country. A high alert has been issued in several states, including Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
According to news agency ANI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and reviewed the situation following the Delhi blast.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a post on Twitter, “Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the blast in Delhi earlier this evening. May the injured recover at the earliest. Those affected are being assisted by authorities. Reviewed the situation with Home Minister Amit Shah Ji and other officials.”

High alert in Uttarakhand, checking at railway stations and bus terminals
Following the Delhi blast, a high alert has been issued in several states. A high alert has also been issued in Uttarakhand, following which the police are conducting intensive checking operations.
Following the Delhi bombings, a high alert has been issued in Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Kolkata, and Uttarakhand. According to ADG V. Murugesan, instructions have been given to initiate intensive checking at railway stations and bus stands. Patrols and surveillance have been increased in border areas. Police and security agencies are closely monitoring any suspicious activity.
