Water logging in many places due to heavy rains in Hyderabad

So far, 11 people have reportedly died due to continuous rains in many parts of Hyderabad. Out of this, 9 people died due to collapsing wall in Bandlaguda. The roads are waterlogged and some low-lying areas are completely submerged. The rain has exposed all the claims of the state government.

Asaduddin Owaisi, MP from Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, said that nine people died after a wall collapsed in Bandlaguda due to heavy rains. He said that 9 people died and 2 were injured when the private boundary wall fell.

In a separate incident, a 40-year-old woman and her 15-year-old daughter died. The roof of his old house in Ibrahimpatnam area fell on Tuesday due to heavy rain. Many areas of Telangana have been raining since Tuesday. Because of this, people’s lives has become difficult. Many areas of Hyderabad are submerged.

The life of Hyderabad has been badly affected due to heavy rains. Several areas were submerged in water including Attapur Main Road, Musheerabad, Toli Chowki area and Dammaiguda. People are imprisoned in homes due to waterlogging on the roads. Traffic service also came to a standstill. In the low-lying areas, water flooded inside the houses. The team of SDRF is engaged in the rescue operation.

Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said that Hyderabad has received 20 cm of rain in the last 24 hours. LB Nagar received 25 cm of rain in 24 hours. Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao has sought a report on the situation after rain in other cities including Hyderabad. With this, all the district administration has been ordered to be vigilant.
