Yamuna Expressway toll tax to increase from October 1

Travelling through Yamuna Expressway is going to be expensive for the people living in Delhi-NCR. Because, Yamuna Industrial Development Authority has approved an increase of up to 12% in the toll rate on the 165 km long Yamuna Expressway connecting Greater Noida to Agra. Officials said that the new rates will come into effect from October 1. Officials said that the decision to increase the toll tax has been taken after 3 years. This will give the authority toll of about ₹ 1 crore per day.

How expensive is the journey from Noida to Agra

After the implementation of new toll rates on Yamuna Expressway, the toll amount for traveling by car from Greater Noida to Agra will increase from Rs 270 to Rs 295. Similarly, for buses this amount will increase from Rs 895 to Rs 935. At the same time, the toll for oversized vehicles will increase from Rs 1760 to Rs 1835.

What is toll tax

Toll tax is the amount that is charged only for driving on national highways, expressways and some special roads. This tax is charged by the National Highway Authority of India. This tax is charged in exchange for better facilities on highways and expressways.
