Youth dies after AC unit falls on him from 2nd floor
A young man died in a tragic accident after an air conditioner unit fell from the second floor of a building in Karol Bagh area of Delhi. One is injured. The incident took place on Saturday (August 17) at around 7 pm. Its video has now surfaced on social media.
The video showed that the youth was sitting on a scooty below the building. A friend of his was standing next to him. Both were talking. Then suddenly the outdoor unit of the AC fell on the head of the scooty rider.
Police said that both the friends were injured in the accident. They were taken to the nearest hospital, where the scooty rider was declared dead. His friend has suffered injuries in his hands. However, he is out of danger.
The deceased youth has been identified as a resident of Doriwalan Delhi. His friend is a resident of Patel Nagar. Police have registered a case after the accident. A forensic team was deployed to investigate the cause of the AC falling. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
