Administration alert as dengue cases rise in Uttarakhand
After Dehradun-Haridwar, now the danger of dengue has increased in Haldwani too. Sensing the situation, where the ward reserves have been declared in STH, the dengue test is also being done for the patients coming for treatment. After the heavy rains in the past, water has collected outside the houses which serve as a breeding ground for dengue carrying mosquitoes.
On the other hand, dengue has been confirmed in 35 more people in Gadharona village, which has become a dengue hotspot in Roorkee in Haridwar district. In about a week, 129 cases have been reported in the village. Dengue has also been confirmed in 12 people in Mundlana. Reports of many villages are yet to come. The team also took samples in Harjoli. The sun is starting to come out. Since then, the danger of dengue mosquito breeding in Haldwani and its surrounding areas has increased.
The health department is already on alert mode due to the increase in the number of dengue patients in Dehradun-Haridwar. Here, the STH administration has started reserving for Dengue, apart from the Department of Pediatrics and Medicine, Ward C etc. Dengue test is also being done for the fever patients coming to the OPD. In STH, 1-2 patients are reaching daily with complaints of dengue.
Dengue test with corona
The District Health Department has issued instructions regarding dengue to private hospitals as well as government hospitals. Under this, it has also been made mandatory for the patients of fever to be tested for dengue along with corona. Wherever dengue cases are being received, instructions have also been issued for surveillance in those areas.
