On the instructions of commissioner Kumaon, the district administration too is not in the mood to relax on encroachment. On Tuesday, the City Magistrate Pankaj Upadhyay held a meeting with the traders in the Municipal Auditorium and said that from 23 July, the campaign will be run strictly against encroachment. The City Magistrate said that there is no difference between administration and businessmen for anti encroachment drive in Haldwani city. To remove encroachment, videography will be done jointly by the police and municipal corporation in the city. This process will last till July 22. After this, the work of removing the encroachment will be started from 23 July 2018. On not removing encroachment the businessman will be fined two times. Even after this if the merchant will not remove encroachment, the shop will be sealed. Directing the traders, he said, the traders who have encroached on the drains, sidewalks, they should remove encroachment within four days. If not, strict legal action will be taken. The City Magistrate said, the pavement is for walking do not encroach it. Nobody has any right over the roads. The City Magistrate has instructed all the hand cart vendors of the city to submit the form for verification,to the municipal corporation and get the receipt of the form. Those who do not get themselves verified they will not be allowed to enter the city after 15 August. The vehicles parked on the road will be seized, he said, wherever the vehicles are parked on the streets of the city. It gets disorganized. If after 15th August any vehicle will stand on the road it will be sealed. For the parking of the vehicles, the administration has been started searching for space for three multi-story parking.
