Haldwani witnesses “Khel Raah” to promote awareness of 38th National Games

In an effort to raise awareness about the upcoming 38th National Games and encourage greater public participation in sports, “Khel Raah” was successfully organized in Haldwani. The event, held at the Mini Stadium, saw enthusiastic participation from the local community between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
The people of Haldwani actively engaged in a variety of activities, including yoga, cycling, taekwondo, skating, and chess. Special arrangements were made for children, with dedicated art and craft activities. Cultural performances added vibrancy to the event, drawing applause and smiles from the attendees.
One of the key highlights of the event was an interactive dance session featuring “Mouli,” the mascot of the 38th National Games. The session witnessed lively participation and added vibrant colours to the proceedings.
The success of “Khel Raah” in Haldwani sets the stage for similar events scheduled in other cities. The next “Khel Raah” will be held on January 25 in Haridwar and on January 27 in Dehradun.
Uttarakhand is proudly hosting the 38th National Games, which will take place from January 28 to February 14, 2025. The grand inauguration ceremony, slated for January 28, will be officiated by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Events during the National Games will be spread across multiple cities, including Haldwani, Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Rudrapur, and others. Haldwani will play host to key competitions, such as football, taekwondo, fencing, kho-kho, swimming, triathlon, and modern pentathlon. The games will conclude with a grand closing ceremony in Haldwani on February 14.
